THE ART OF
OBSERVATION
DOCUMENTARY CINEMATOGRAPHY | CALGARY & BEYONG

The Philosophy
INTRODUCTION
I believe the most profound stories aren't scripted—they are observed.
My obsession with the visual language of cinema began early, rooted in the belief that moving images are the most powerful vessel for human emotion. With a Bachelor of Fine Arts from York University and formal training in Broadcasting, my work is a convergence of classical art theory and modern technical precision.

Technical expertise meets a keen sense of rhythm and soul.
I create films that are meant to be felt, not just watched.
The Experience
NARRATIVE AUTHORITY
My journey through the visual arts has been diverse and deliberate. From refining the rhythm of storytelling as an editor at Nelvana Studio to capturing the grit and soul of the award-winning documentary City Builders, I have learned that a great film is built on the details others might miss.
As a co-creator of Inspo Toronto, I spend my time documenting the lives of artists across the GTA. This constant immersion in the creative community keeps my eye sharp and my perspective fresh.
THE APPROCH
AN INVISIBLE PRESENCE
Whether I am documenting a high-end wedding or a commercial narrative, my philosophy remains the same: I blend into the background.
I don’t believe in "staged" moments or forced performances. Your only job is to be fully present; mine is to wait for the honest gestures—the unspoken emotions and the quiet, fleeting seconds that prove a connection is real. If you feel uncomfortable in front of a camera, you are not alone. My process is designed to let you forget I am even there, allowing the day to unfold naturally.
